How we met

It all began with a phrase spoken almost casually on the platform at Milano Centrale on a hot July day. Stephanie, waiting for a train to catch her flight back to Paris, said in passing, “You know, you could move to Paris if you wanted.”

On September 20th, 2018, Enrica moved in to her tiny apartment in the Marais: twenty-seven square meters on the fifth floor without an elevator, stepping into a city she didn’t speak a word of French in—though that didn’t seem like the urgent problem at the time.

A month later, Thomas walked into the office. He had sent a spontaneous application at one in the morning, intending to stay only a few months before setting off on a year-long walking trip across France. What was meant to be temporary quickly became something else entirely.

Long nights in the office, metro rides, freezing terraces during an unusually harsh winter, and shared glasses of wine—each moment quietly wove the beginnings of a story neither of them had anticipated.

From their first trips together to the first apartment they shared, and then the next, life quietly unfolded. Olivia joined them, and a year later, Antoine was on the way. What had started as a chance encounter had quietly become a story worth telling.
